The Bangalore University Yoga Centre was setup in 1995 by Dr. N R Shetty (Hon'ble Vice Chancellor) and Dr. H R Nagendra (Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SVYASA). The center offer Certificate Course and M.Sc. in Yoga and Diploma program as well.

Here is the eligibility criteria to apply for the program

a) Eligibility for M.Sc. in Human Consciousness and Yogic Sciences:
Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in any subject, of a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks.

b) Eligibility for Yoga Instructor Course (Certificate Course) :
Any candidate who has attained 18 years of age and has a minimum qualification of PUC passed is eligible to seek admission.

c) Eligibility for PG Diploma in Yoga Studies :
Any candidate who has degree in any faculty of this University or any recognized University. Preference may be given to those who have completed certificate course.
