![]() TANCET Exam Syllabus of Biotechnology is as follows: The duration of TANCET is 2 hours. The Entrance Test question paper shall consist of 3 parts. Part – I Mathematics: 30 objective type questions and the candidates should answer all the 30 questions. Part-II is compulsory and the candidates have to choose any one subsection out of 14 in Part – II Basic Engineering & Sciences: 45 objective type questions The candidates should answer a minimum of 30 questions. All the correct answers up to a maximum of 30 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be deducted for each. Part-III depending upon his specialization Part – III Specializations 14 subsections for various disciplines, like CSE, EEE, MECH, CIVIL, etc... Each subsection will have 40/45 objective type questions. The candidates have to choose any one subsection depending on his specialization, and to answer a minimum of 40 questions. All the correct answers up to a maximum of 40 will be awarded 1 mark each and for all the wrong answers 1/4 mark shall be reduce for each. The syllabi for the 14 subsections of Part – III are given below and the questions will be set at the undergraduate level. The 14 subsections are: CIVIL ENGINEERING & GEO INFORMATICS EARTH SCIENCES MECHANICAL, AUTOMOBILE & AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGG ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING PRODUCTION AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CHEMISTRY, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECH TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY LEATHER TECHNOLOGY ARCHITECTURE PHYSICAL AND MATERIAL SCIENCE PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS SOCIAL SCIENCES Each question will have 4 alternative answers. The candidates have to choose the correct answer and shade the appropriate small open box against each question in the answer sheet with a pencil/ ballpoint pen (black or blue).Every correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and for every wrong answer 1/4 mark shall be deducted. No deduction will be made for questions left unanswered. Multiple shadings will be considered as wrong answer and 1/4 mark will be deducted.
