I.) The selection process of Clerk Grade-III is as under:

(a) The selection test will be of 100 marks consisting of:

(i) Written test - 60 marks
(ii) Qualification- 10 marks (For Matric - 05, Intermediate -07, Graduation -09 and post-graduation and above – 10 marks)
(iii ) Computer test 20 marks (Operational and application)
(iv) Viva-voce- 10 marks
Total - 100 Marks

The Syllabus of written examination shall consist of: -

(i) Coal and formation of coal,
(ii) Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries (Preliminary knowledge),
(iii) National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA),
(iv) Preliminary knowledge of computer (Class-X Standard),
(v) General English and
(vi) Elementary arithmetics.
