Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) and State Council of education Research & Training (SCERT), Bihar may conduct the Bihar Elementary Teacher Eligibility Test (BETET) in the third week of February, 2013. There will be two papers in the exams: Paper I : 1. Child Development and Pedagogy 2. Language I 3. Language II 4. Mathematics 5. Environmental Studies Paper II: 1. Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 2. Language I (compulsory) 3. Language II (compulsory) 4. A) For Mathematics and Science teacher: Mathematics and Science B) For Social Studies/Social Science teacher: Social Science C) For any other teacher: either (A) or (B)

Teacher’s Eligibility Test TET is conducted for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Bihar. Important Dates: Opening Date for On-Line Registration: 01st July, 2014 Last date for filling of on-line registration: 16th July, 2014 Last date for depositing examination fee at State Bank of India: 17th July, 2014 Last date for receipt of confirmation page in the BSEB Patna Office: 24th July, 2014 Exam Date: October 2014 Exam Pattern: The exam consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 multiple choice questions and each question carries 1 mark. Paper I: To become teachers for classes I-V in Bihar primary school. Paper II: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Bihar upper primary school. Paper I and II: For Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.
