Equally men and women can join IAF according to their qualification, age limit and other eligibility There are three branches Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground duty Branch There are 2 Ways to Join Indian Air Force as Officer after Graduation 1. AFCAT 2. CDSE 1. Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT: Male/ Female applicants who are bachelor and citizen of India are eligible for AFCAT Entry. Age limits: For Flying branch: minimum 19 years and maximum 23 years to apply Technical branch: minimum 18 years to maximum 28 years Ground duties branch: minimum 20 years to maximum 23 years Educational Qualification: Flying Branch: Applicants should have passed Graduation (10 + 2 + 3) in any stream with physics and Mathematics subjects in 10 +2 or BE/ B.Tech from any recognized University/ Institute. Technical Branch: Applicants should have passed Four year Degree qualification, passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers or Graduated in Aeronautical/ Tele communication/ Electronics. Ground Duty Branch: Applicants should have passed Graduation (10 + 2 + 3) in any stream from a recognized University/ Institute. 2. CDSE Eligibility Criteria: Applicants should be citizen of India as per the Indian government rules. Age limits: Minimum age 19 years Maximum age 23 years Educational Qualification: Applicants should hold 3 years Graduation in any stream from any recognized Institute/ University. Additionally, Applicants should have cleared 10 +2 level with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. BE/ B Tech (Four year course) passed candidates can also apply for this entry scheme.
