Admission in Tamilnadu Medical Colleges is done on the basis of cut off marks of TNMA (Tamil Nadu Medical Admission). Tamil Nadu Medical Admission cut off is determined on the basis intake, number of applicants, and marks scored by candidates in the 10+2/ HSC. Most Backward Classes MBCs and Denotified Communities A minimum of 55% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. A minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate percentage of marks in (a) and ( b) should not be less than 120 out of 200 marks . Scheduled Castes SCs, Scheduled Caste – Arunthathiyar SCAs, Scheduled Tribes ST A minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. A minimum of 40% marks in each of the subjects of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate percentage of marks in (a) and (b) should not be less than 80 out of 200 marks. Physically Challenged Category The candidates under Physically challenged Category of Locomotory disability of Lower Limbs alone, regardless of OC, BC, BCM, MBC or DC should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in each prescribed subject in the qualifying examination.
