National Eligibility Test (NET) is for post graduate candidates wishing to apply for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship in Indian colleges and universities. This exam is conducted twice every year in the month of June and December respectively. Important dates Date of close of deposit of fee - 22.08.2014 Date of close of On-line submission of Application - 23.08.2014 Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of online application in the Examination Unit - 29.08.2014 Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of online application in the Examination Unit from remote areas - 04.09.2014 Last Date for receipt of written request for change of Examination Centre only on merit basis: September 24, 2014 (Wednesday) Tentative date of Publication of list of candidates registered for test on CSIR, HRDG website: October 31,2014 (Friday) Last date for accepting of representation about non-registration for this test: November 07, 2014 (Friday) Issue of e-Admission Certificate to registered candidates: Mid December, 2014 Date of Single MCQ Examination: December 21, 2014 (Sunday) Paper Pattern The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions. SESSION: FIRST Paper - I Marks - 100 Number of Question - 60 out of which 50 question to be attempted Duration - 1¼ Hours SESSION: FIRST Paper - II Marks - 100 Number of Question - 50 questions all are compulsory Duration - 1¼ Hours SESSION: SECOND Paper - III Marks - 150 Number of Question - 75 questions all are compulsory Duration - 2½ Hours
