Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Group IV exam eligibility criteria & other details are as given below: Group IV Eligibility The applicant should have passed S.S.L.C Public Exam or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. The Candidates should have passed the “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” awarded by the Technical Education Department. Exam pattern TNPSC conducts Group 4 Exam in single paper (Objective Type) which is of two types. One type of question paper will contain questions on General Studies (SSC Std) (75 Items) and Aptitude Test (25 Items) and General English (100 Items). The other will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Aptitude Test (25 items) and General Tamil (100 items). Candidates are given the option to choose either General Tamil or General English for answering the second 100 items. Syllabus; General Knowledge: General knowledge section consists of following topics: General Science India’s History India’s Geography Economics & Commerce Indian Politics National Movement of India Current Events General English: General English syllabus usually covers the following areas- Match words and Phrases ‘Synonyms’ & ‘Antonyms’ Prefix, Suffix Fill in the blanks with suitable Article/ Preposition. Question Tag Tense and Voice Fill in the blanks (infinitive, Gerund, participle) Identify the sentence pattern of the following sentence (Subject, Verb, Object) Change: Verb into Noun, Noun into Verb, Adjective into Adverb) ‘Homophones’ Find Error (Articles, prepositions, Noun Verb Adjective, Adverb) Comprehension Find out the odd Words, (Verb, Noun, Adjective, Adverb) Select the Correct Plural Forms Identify the sentence (Simple, Compound, Complex Sentence) Identify the correct Degree.
