The Wrexham Maelor Hospital is the second largest hospital in Wales . It is run under the umbrella of the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board.

The Maelor is a major acute district hospital home to 34 wards and 697 beds

Critical Care Unit:
Intensive Care: Monday through to Sunday (including Bank Holidays) - 1pm-2pm and 6pm-8pm

Medical High Dependency: Monday through to Sunday (including Bank Holidays) - 1pm-2pm and 6pm-8pm

Pasteur Ward: Monday through to Friday – 3pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm. Closed at weekends as a Daycase Ward only

Rehabilitation Unit Bedwen Ward: Monday through to Friday – 3pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm. On weekends and Bank Holidays 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm

Rehabilitation Unit Onnen Ward: Monday through to Friday- 3pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm. On weekends and Bank Holidays 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm

SCBU (Special Care Baby Unit): No set visiting times. 24-hour access to parents. Close relatives may visit accompanied by parents, no other visitors allowed without prior agreement with parents and ward staff

SAU (Surgical Assessment Unit) (formerly Bright Ward): Monday through to Friday (including Bank Holidays) – 3pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm. On weekends 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 8pm
