During BE 3rd Year, Can I take part in CDS II Exam

Tell me while appearing in BE 3rd year, can I take part in CDS II Exam, please provide details???

Sorry, you are not eligible for Applying CDS examination being a 3rd year student of Your Bachelor degree.

First of all you have to complete your Graduation degree or you should pursuing Final year of Graduation.

Candidates who have completed their Graduation degree/Bachelor degree in any discipline OR Pursuing Final year of Graduation are eligible for applying CDS examination.

CDS Conducted in following Wings:

Indian Military Academy
Indian Air Force
Naval Academy
Officers’ Training Academy

Age Limit:
For Indian Military Academy:
19-24 Years
For Air Force Academy:
19-23 Years
For Naval Academy:
19-22 Years
For Officers’ Training Academy:
19-25 Years.

Qualification

Air Force Academy (AFA):
Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with a degree from recognized university or bachelor degree in engineering /technology.

Women candidates can not apply for Air force academy.

Indian Military Academy (IMA): Aspirants should have a degree from recognized university.

Naval Academy (NA):
Aspirants should have engineering degree from any recognized university or institute

Officers Training Academy (OTA):
All other men candidates as well as women should have a degree to qualify for minimum educational qualification required

No, sorry during BE 3rd year, you can not take part in CDS II exam.

CDS stands for Combined defense services, this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting a competitive exam, 'Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam II for short-listing candidates at various posts in the departments such as Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.


Qualification department wise:

I.M.A. and Officers' Training Academy –
Candidates should have degree of a recognized university or equivalent.

Indian Naval Academy –
Candidates should have a degree in Engineering.

Air Force Academy –
Candidates should have a degree in Engineering with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test to be followed by an interview.

Details of the written exam:

For admissions to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:
Subject: Marks: Duration
English: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
General Knowledge: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
Elementary Mathematics: 100 Marks: 2 hrs

For admissions to Officers Training Academy:
Subject: Marks: Duration
English: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
General Knowledge: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
