![]() Date of Examination – 18th Jan 2015 HOW TO APPLY: Candidate are required to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in. Brief Instructions for filling up the Online Application Form have been given in the Appendix II Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website. Note : Candidates can only fill the application form online. There is no other mode of applying for this exam. LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: The Online Application can be filled upto 7th November. 2014 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled 4 The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for being downloaded by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail id., while filling up Online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them. Age Limits : (a) A candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years on 1st January, 2015. i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 1998 Examination pattern The Examination shall be conducted according to the following plan. Part I Written Examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks in the subjects asshown below. Part II Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of Written Examination 2. The subjects of the Written Examination under Part I, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject/paper shall be as follows : APPENDIX-I SCHEME OF EXAMINATION Subjects Code Time Maximum No. Allowed Marks Paper-I General Ability Test (English, General 01 2 Hours 200 Knowledge and Psychological Test) Paper-ll Physical Sciences (Physics 02 2 Hours 200 and Chemistry) Paper-lll Mathematics 03 2 Hours 200 Total Marks 600 3. The papers in all the subjects will consist of Objective (multiple choice answer) Type questions only. The Question Papers (Test Booklets) will be set in English only. 4. In the question papers, wherever required, SI units will be used 5. Question Papers will be approximately of the Intermediate standard 6. Candidates must write the answers in their own hand. In no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a scribe to write the answers for them 7. The Commission have discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination. 8 Candidates are not permitted to use calculators for answering objective type papers (Test Booklets). The last date to apply for SCRA or Special Class Railway Apprentice has declared SCRA 2015 is over now. Its exam is on 18-Jan-2015 (Sunday). Special Class Railway Apprentice is a Programme of 4 years for mechanical students, who want to make career in the Indian Railways which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). As you want I am here giving you important dates for Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) exam of UPSC. SCRA 2016 Important Dates (tentative) Notification Date: October, 2015 Last Date to Apply: November, 2015 SCRA Exam Date: January, 2016 Eligibility Educational Qualification: Applicant must have passed in the first or second division in the Intermediate or an equivalent examination. Must study Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry . Age Limit: 17 -21 years . Upper age limit relaxation. 5 years for SC/ST 3 years for OBC. Instructions to Apply Online: Candidates have to scan photo and signature in .jpg format . File size of each is not exceeding 40 KB . File size not less than 3 KB for Photo and 1 KB for Signature. Candidates should have valid and active Email id. Log on to the website of UPSC online. Click on the link “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC”. Select a Post . Than click on “Click Here (Part -I)”. Fill all the mandatory fields . Click on “Continue”. System will generate Registration-Id write don it . Make payment of application fee. Again Re login and click on “Click Here (Part-II)”. Login by using Registration-Id & Date of Birth. Fill all the required details and upload scanned photo and signature and click on “Submit” Button.
