One can apply after 10+2 in Indian Railways through Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) Examination. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination

SCRA Exam Eligibility
-You must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years
-Age relaxations will be applicable as per rules.
-You must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
-Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects.

Selection Process:
You will be selected on the basis of Written Examination and Interview.

Exam Pattern of SCRA Entrance Exam:
Paper I General Ability Test 120 Minutes 200 Marks
Paper II Physical Sciences 120 Minutes 200 Marks
Paper III Mathematics 120 Minutes 200 Marks
Total 600 Marks
