I am providing you the necessary details of the Ph.D Program of Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI).


Doctor of Philosophy

Eligibility :-

Candidate should have M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Lifesciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemical Sciences and should have qualified CSIR-UGC-NET, ICMR, DBT examinations for Junior Research Fellowship.


Students can do their Ph.D studies in the following fields :-

Pharmacology
Toxicology
Pharmacokinetics & Metabolism
Pharmaceutics
Microbiology
Medicinal & Process Chemistry Division
Endocrinology
Drug Target Discovery & Development
Parasitology
Biochemistry
Molecular & Structural Biology

Clinical & Experimental Medicine

Application :-

The admission process is conducted twice a year in May and September.
Candidates have to fill the online form available at the official website of the institute.


Please send the following documents to the institute after successfully completing and submitting the application form :-
Passport size photographs.
Attested photocopy of certificates of date of birth,
Attested photocopy of educational qualifications
Attested photocopy of proof for qualifying JRF/GPAT


Admission :-
Applications will be screened by committee.
Suitable candidates will be called for examination/interview/counselling at CDRI, Lucknow.
Committee will short list the candidates.
The number of students to be selected will depend on the vacancies available with scientists at CDRI.
