Default Re: Procedure of becoming an IAS officer after clearing civil services exam

To become IAS officer after clearing civil services exam you need to appear in the mains examination and then personal interview. After appearing in both two examinations you will receive the call latter for the training of about two years.

During the training you will learn about the law, economics and other few subjects and also you have to take physical training.

Then you will get a call letter after this to your state cadre as a junior officer. You’ll be called as joint collector. It’s a equal range of district collector, Because without getting proper grip on your work they will never leave a district on you. Then you'll get a promotion like in the other district as district collector. So this is the complete Procedure of becoming an IAS officer after clearing civil services exam.
