I am looking to take admission to the medical courses of the BHU can you please help me by providing the necessary details of the same?

BHU or the Banaras Hindu University is among the oldest university of the country and offers the wide range of courses to the students.

As you are looking to take admission to the medical courses of the university so here are the details to get the admission to the university –

Institute of Medical Sciences under the Banaras Hindu University has decided that no separate Banaras Hindu University Pre-Medical Test (BHU PMT) shall be conducted for admissions to the undergraduate medical courses this year .

Instead the admissions to the BHU MBBS 2014 admissions will be made through AIPMT 2014 score. All candidates eligible for AIPMT 2014 are eligible for registering themselves to BHU MBBS 2014 program at the university irrespective of their State of domicile.

Distribution of 71 BHU MBBS Seats amongst the different categories is as follows:

General - 36
OBC - 19
SC - 11
ST - 05

Total - 71 MBBS Seats

Distribution of BHU BDS Seats 2014 amongst the different categories is as follows:

General - 25
OBC - 13
SC - 08
ST - 04

Total - 50 BDS Seats

Eligibility:

All those aspirants whosoever wishes to pursue their MBBS and BDS programs from BHU must have eligibility criteria as that for the AIPMT 2014.

The important highlights of AIPMT 2014 Eligibility Criteria are given below:

The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2014 for admission to 1st year MBBS/BDS course at then institute and he/she must be an Indian national

The upper age limit for All India Pre Medical/Pre Dental Test at the institute is 25 years as on December 31, 2014. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes

To be eligible to sit in AIPMT 2014, the candidate should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the class 12th from any recognised board of the country.

Selection Procedure at the institute:

Candidates for the medical courses at the institute will be shortlisted on the basis of AIPMT 2014 score. Admission to the Banaras Hindu University MBBS course for the academic session 2014 will be based on AIPMT 2014 score and rank of the candidate.

The last date filling online BHU MBBS 2014 application is May 15, 2014.

The tentative date of BHU MBBS 2014 Counselling is July 4, 2014
