Guys, can you provide me the details of admission in the University of Delhi, Delhi Ph.D. Programme in Mathematics???

The University of Delhi, Delhi offers Ph.D. Programme in Mathematics through the Department of Mathematics. It is one of the four (Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Operational Research and Statistics) Departments under the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Delhi.

Ph.D. Programme in Mathematics admission:
The applicant should have completed Master's Degree or an equivalent degree of a foreign University in the subject concerned

Selection procedure:
The selection will be done on the basis of the relative merit of students' performance at undergraduate and post-graduate examinations and the written test (of two hours duration).

Syllabus of entrance examination:
Finite, countable and uncountable sets, bounded and unbounded sets, Archimedean property, ordered field, completeness of ℝ, sequence and series of functions, uniform convergence, Riemann integrable functions, improper integrals, their convergence and uniform convergence, Fourier series. Partial and directional derivatives, Taylor’s series, implicit function theorem, line and surface integrals, Green’s theorem, Stoke’s theorem.
