IITs imparts courses like M.Sc., MBA, PhD where admission is based on Common Admission Test ,Joint Admission Test to M.Sc. (JAM) and Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). Admission in the undergraduate programmes is done through Joint Entrance Examination while in M. Tech. programmes admission is based on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .
