Kerala Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by the Government of Kerala. KTET is the examination to assess the eligibility of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.

Eligibility for the (Category I):
Those students who intend to be a teacher for Lower Primary classes and fulfill the minimum educational qualification come under the (Category I).

Minimum Qualifications to apply is Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and two year Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent.

Tentative dates:
KTET 2013 Application Deadline: 24/08/2014

KTET 2013 Admit Card: The Admit Cards for KTET 2013 can be downloaded from the official website of Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan between 9/09/2014 to 27/09/2014

KTET is stand for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test and this test is conducted by the Kerala Govt. The Category I is reserved for Teachers for Lower Primary Classes

Eligibility for applying K-TET

Category -I :

The applicant must passed the Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary(Or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two year Trained Teacher Certificate(TTC) conducted by Board of Examination Govt of Kerala .

Or

The candidate passed the Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Age Limit: There is no age Limit for candidates appearing for K-TET.

Paper pattern for category I

There will be only one paper in this category.

All questions consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four alternatives. Each question carries one mark.

The total number of questions will be 150

1) Child Development and Pedagogy Mathematics/Environmental Studies: 30 (MCQs), 30 (Marks)

2) Language-I: Malayalam/Tamil/Kannada: 30 (MCQs), 30 (Marks)

3) Language-II: English /Arabic* 30 (MCQs), 30 (Marks)
