Hello sir, I want to know about PSU exams in India. Give me list of all these exams or mention me link. How to prepare for PSU exam? Suggest me best books for PSU exam? Here I am providing you Examination pattern of PSU exams in India: As there are various examinations so Examination pattern will be different for vary from one PSU to another. Number of Questions: 150-200 Question Time duration: 2 – 2½ Hrs Negative Marking: 1/3 General aptitude with English: 25% Selection Procedure: Selection procedure followed by maximum no. of PSUs includes the following stages: Stage-I:- Written Examination (Generally on Sunday) Stage-II:- Interview and GD Stage-III:- Medical Examination About Written Examination: Duration:- 1–3 hrs (avg 2 hrs) Written exam of various PSUs can be divided mainly into 4 sections:- Aptitude & Reasoning English & RC Technical General Awareness & current affairs About Interview: The interview is mainly conducted to see the hidden potential of the candidate. About Medical Examination: Candidates who are selected on the basis of their performance in written exam, interview and GD are finally called for a medical check-up. General pattern of examination has never been declared by any PSU, the trend of weightage given to different stages of selection which is followed by most of the PSUs is: Written – 70-85%, Interview – 15-30%, GD – 5%. As there are a lot of PSU examinations so it is not possible for me to give you details about all PSU’s all at once. So if you want to ask about any of the particular examination of PSU. There are more than 100 Public sector undertaking (PSUs) companies in India. Here are names of some of the companies. BSNL VSNL DRDO BHEL NTPC IOCL GAIL MTNL WCL ISRO PGCIL Some of the companies conduct interview and some of the companies provide jobs on the basis of GATE exam. PSU exams are generally held during March to November. The exam has normally two parts. The first part is based on the following subjects: Maths, English GK Reasoning, Second part is of optional subject. Books for preparation of the exam: For Maths & reasoning subjects read books written by R. S Agarwal For English subject read Lucents English books and read various magazines such as competition success and Pratiyogita Darpan etc.
