Sir I looking to apply for get admission in Andhra University’s PhD but here I don’t know about its admission procedure so can tell me how can take admission and please provide me this University PhD admission notification?

The Andhra University offers Ph.D. Programmes in approx 34 departments such as sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences, Library and Information Sciences and Humanities Research etc.


The university has not released the notification for PhD admission 2012 so I am providing you tentative dates of it.

Last date for submission of applications: April 2012
Last date for submission of application form with late fee of Rs.1000/-: Last week of April 2012

Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam conducts Andhra University Research Common Entrance Test (AURCET) for admission in Ph.D. programmes

Admission Notification:
Admissions for PhD programs are generally over for this session, here I am giving you tentative idea for the next admission session

Last date for receipt of filled-in Applications: Third Week of June
Last date for late Application: End of June

Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time Ph. D:

-You must be Post-graduate degree holders with minimum 55% of marks (50% in the case of SC/ST Candidates) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject
-You must qualify AURCET
- If you are Qualified in UGC/CSIR-NET / ICMR, APSET/ Project Fellows
/Research Fellows funded by recognized National Funding Agencies and
Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship then you will be exempted from appearing for AURCET
