SIMS - Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies was set up in 1993 and in the year 2002, the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India conferred on Symbiosis, the status of Deemed to be University. Seats per specialisation are fixed as below:-
Finance : 70
Marketing : 150
HR : 60
Operations : 35

MBA Eligibility Criteria
-You should be a graduate or a post graduate from a statutory university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
-Students appearing in their final year degree examination can apply
-Defence category candidate should be ward of Defence Personnel

Admission Procedure

-Admission in MBA will be done on the basis of --
All India Symbiosis National Aptitude Test for post graduates (SNAP).
Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT)

-Selected candidates are also informed through a letter confirming their admission.

PGPM which was formerly known as Executive PGDM course of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies - SIMS is a one year management programme (known generally as Fast Track MBA) which is meant for junior and middle level executives who need a management qualification to boost and advance their career at par with MBAs.

The PGPM course curriculum is divided into two semesters of six months each.

Both the semesters consist of Compulsory and Specialization courses.

Students need to opt for any one specialization from Finance, Human Resource, Marketing and Operations which will remain constant for both the semesters.

A particular specialization is offered if at least 10 students opt for that specialization.
