Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education Research releases the online application form and prospectus for MD/MS entrance exam. Admissions to PG programs in JIPMER takes place twice a year – January and July.

To appear in the entrance exam, medical graduates need to fill the online form within the deadline. The exam will be a computer based test. It will have 100 questions on basic clinical sciences, and 150 on clinical sciences.

To be considered for merit list, one must get at least 50th percentile if they belong to unreserved, OCI, FN, Sponsored category. UR-OPH should get 45th percentile. And SC, ST, OBC, OPH must get 40th percentile.

The exam will be held in 10 cities in India, namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhuwaneswar, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Vijaywada.

Duration of the MD/MS course is 3 years from the date of admission. Degree certificates will be issued after completion of residency i.e. 36 months at convocation.
