Eligibility:
The Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in science / engineering graduate preferably in Agriculture & Allied Sciences / Agriculture Engineering / Bio-Sciences and Engineering / Fisheries / Forestry / Management Sciences / Environmental Sciences / Computer Applications / Computer Science or Engineering / Information Science or Technology and allied disciplines with 60% of marks from a recognized university.

Selection procedure:
The Candidates for admission will be selected through a process of an Entrance Test followed by an interview.

Entrance Test:
The Entrance Test will be of one hour duration.
The Entrance Test will assess the candidates' understanding in a number of areas.
The areas covered are:

This University is the first University in the state of Gujarat to offer a course on Forensic Science at Post Graduation Level.

Gujarat University - Master of Science (MSc) - Forensic Science

Course Duration: 2 years - 4 Semesters

Seats:

20 students will be admitted every year. Out of 20 seats, 15 seats are reserved for Gujarat University students and 5 seats are for students other than the Gujarat University with maximum 2 seats for NRI students meeting the eligibility criteria

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduates in Science disciplines of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent. Candidate should have scored at least 50% marks at Graduate level.
Mode of Admission

Every year announcement of the course will appear in Gujarati and English newspapers.

An entrance test will be conducted for the selection of candidates.

The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration with 50 multiple choice questions covering the various disciplines of science. The merit list will have 40% weightage for test marks + 60% of BSc marks.

Course Fee
For General Seats (18) – Rs. 15,000 per semester; For NRI Seats (2) – Rs. 50,000 per semester

Examination Fee
Rs. 500/- per semester will be collected along with the Examination form.
