National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination in India which is jointly conducted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission ("CSIR-UGC" NET).

CSIR UGC NET Tentative Dates
Date of CSIR UGC NET examination: Third Week of December
Date of Single MCQ Examination: Third Week of December
Date of Start of Online Submission: End of July
Date of Close of Deposit of Fee (All Station): 3rd Week of August
Date of Close of Submission of Online Application (All Station): 3rd Week of August
Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of on line application in the examination unit: End of August
Last date of receipt of duly completed hard copy of on line application in the Examination Unit (from remote areas): Ist Week of September
Last Date for receipt of written request for change of Examination Centre only on merit basis: End of September
Publication of list of candidates registered for test on CSIR, HRDG website: 1st Week of November
Last date for accepting of representation about non-registration for this test ist Week of November
Issue of e-Admission Certificate to registered candidates: Second week of December
Date Of Commencement Of Exam : End of December
