Will you please provide me the exam pattern of Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS)??

KAS (Karnataka Administrative Service) exam was conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission once in every year.

The Exam Pattern of KPSC KAS Examination is as following

The competitive examination shall comprise of two stages:-
(1) Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the main examination and
(2) Main Examination (written examination and Personality Test)

Preliminary Examination:-
-The Preliminary Examination shall consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choices)
-Each paper carrying 100 Questions with each question carrying TWO marks
-Each paper shall be of Maximum of 200 marks and of a Duration of two hours (Total for two papers 400 Marks) in the following description.

PAPER - I
General Studies related to National and International importance 40 Questions and 80 Marks
Humanities 60 Questions and 120 Marks
Total 100 Questions and 200 Marks

PAPER - II
General Studies related to State Importance 40Questions and 80 Marks
General Science & Tech, Environment &Ecology 30 Questions and 60 Marks
General Mental Ability 30 Questions and 60 Marks
Total 100 Questions and 200 Marks

Main Examination:

The Main Examination shall consist of written examination and personality test.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION
Paper-I Kannada 150 marks
Paper-II English 150 marks
Paper III & IV General Studies 300 marks
Paper V,VI, VII, & VIII Two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject. Each subject will have two papers. each paper -300 marks
Total marks for written Examination is - 2100

I had filled form for the KAS Exam. But I do not have any type of knowledge about the syllabus and pattern. So can you tell me the pattern for KAS Exam?

English:


Comprehension of given passages – 25 marks
Precis writing – 25 marks
Usage – 25 marks
Vocabulary – 25 marks
Short Essay – 25 marks
Communication Skills – 25 marks

Modern History of India and Indian Culture with special reference to the History and Culture of Karnataka
Current events of State, National and International importance
Statistical Analysis, Graphs and Diagrams.

General Studies II:


Indian Polity with special reference to Karnataka State

The roll and impact of Science and Technology in the development of Karnataka and India.
