Karnataka Administrative Services examination is conducted by the government of India for recruitment in the administration of the Karnataka state. The syllabus is given in detailed format here. Syllabus: The examination comprise of two stages:- Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the main examination Main Examination (written examination and Personality Test) for selection for candidates for various services and posts. Preliminary Examination :- The Preliminary Examination consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice) Each paper carrying 100 Questions with each question carrying TWO marks and Each paper shall be of Maximum of 200 marks Duration of two hours (Total for two papers 400 Marks) Subject Questions Marks General Studies 40 80 related to National and International importance Humanities 60 120 Total 100 200 General Studies 40 80 related to State Importance General Science 30 60 & Tech, Environment & Ecology General Mental Ability30 60 Total 100 200 Main Examination: The Main Examination consist of written examination and personality test. WRITTEN EXAMINATION Kannada 150 marks English 150 marks General Studies 300 marks
