The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.

Eligibility:
The minimum qualification is degree from any recognised university with 55% marks.
Candidates must be a citizen of India
Candidates must be below 30 years (if you belong to OC category)
Candidates must be below 33 years (if you belong to OBC caste)
Candidates must be below 35 years (if you belong to Sc/St caste)

No. Of Attempts:
General category candidates and the OBC candidates that fall under Creamy Layer can make four attempts for the exam.
OBC category candidates can make seven attempts.
Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category can make any number of attempts.
