As you want to get the details of recruitment process followed in Research and Analysis Wing (RAW or R&AW) so here is the information of the same for you: Research and Analysis Wing (RAW or R&AW) is the primary external intelligence agency of the Republic of India. It was formed in September 1968 under the helmsman-ship of its first Director, Rameshwar Nath Kao. Details of recruitment process followed in Research and Analysis Wing (RAW or R&AW): Generally R&AW relied primarily on trained intelligence officers who were recruited directly. These officers belonged to the external wing of the Intelligence Bureau. From the past decade many candidates were taken from the military, police and other services. Later, R&AW began directly recruiting graduates from universities. Direct recruitment at Class I executive level is from Civil services officers undergoing Foundation course at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. At the end of the course, R&AW conducts a campus interview. Based on a selection of psychological tests and the interview, candidates are inducted into R&AW for a lien period of one year. During this period, they have an option of rejoining their parent service (if they wish to) after which they can be permanently absorbed into the Research and Analysis Service. Officers are also deputed from the Indian Revenue Service. For joining it first of all candidate must have to qualify civil service exams (all stages) only the candidate's who top the IAS exam are offered to appear for exam for R & AW,then the qualified candidates are selected as an agent of R & AW for the service of 2 to 5 years which is extendable for upto 9 years maximum depending upon candidates capabilities.
