Joint Entrance Examination has two phases. Phase 1 is JEE Main and the second stage of the test is JEE Advanced. It is being conducted for admissions to the Undergraduate Programs in Engineering, Architecture and Sciences at all IIT institutions for Indian and Foreign nationals. Following are the details of this examination: Eligibility: The applicant should have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2013 may also appear in JEE(MAIN) 2013 provisionally. Pattern of JEE Paper 1 - for B.E/B.TECH courses Duration: 3 hrs Objective type questions with equal weight age to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics Four options with single correct answer Negative marking – for each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. No response will mean no deduction of marks. Paper 2 – for B.ARCH/B. JMET Joint Management Entrance Test is taken by the IIT’s for admission in 2-Year full time Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in Management. The institutes are:- Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. IIT Bombay: Master of Management (M. Mgt). IIT Delhi: MBA with focus on Management Systems; MBA with focus on Tele-communication Systems Management. IISc Bangalore : Master of Business Administration. IIT Kanpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA). IIT Madras: Master of Business Administration (MBA). IIT Roorkee: Master of Business Administration (MBA). IIT Kharagpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Eligibility: For IISc Bangalore: Applicants must pass First class (for Un Reserved/OBC category candidates and second class or 50% aggregate marks, for SC/ST and PwD category candidates in the qualifying degree. For IIT Guwahati: (any one of the following) - a) 55% marks in Major/Honors including Languages and Subsidiaries. b) 60% including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined. For Un Reserved/OBC(NCL) Category Candidates:- a) 50% marks in Major/Honors and pass in all other subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries For all other IITs: Applicants must have obtained 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined). IIT JAM Pattern:- Exam will be taken for the seven test papers, namely: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Biological Sciences (BL), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA) , Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).
