The University of Delhi by its Faculty Of Medical Sciences provides the courses of medical science in the city of Delhi. For the following colleges admission process Is being conducted at the university- Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC); Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC); University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS); and BDS course at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) The university fill up seats at the above mentioned colleges as per the selection process made by Directorate General of Health Services. Duration of the courses at the university MBBS course: The duration of the course is 4½ years, followed by one year compulsory rotating internship training by the candidate. BDS course: The duration of the course is 4 years, followed by one year compulsory rotating internship training Eligibility: Age: The candidates should have completed the age of 17 (seventeen) years on or before 31st December, 2014 Admission procedure – Instead, admission to MBBS/BDS courses for all categories under Delhi Quota will be made on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidate who have qualified NEET (UG)- to be conducted by CBSE The candidate must apply/appear in NEET (UG) to become eligible for admission under Delhi Quota in the MBBS/BDS Courses of University of Delhi. The admission of the candidate will be based on the basis of admission tests based merit scored by the candidate followed by the process of counseling . All the Medical Colleges in Delhi provide admission in MBBS and BDS course through AIPMT or All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test which is an entrance exam for this in India. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in several medical colleges around the country. Important Dates of AIPMT 2015 are following: Online registration starts December 1, 2014 Online registration Last Date December 31, 2014 without late fee and January 31, 2015 with late fee AIPMT 2015 Admit Card April 1, 2015 Date of Examination AIPMT 2015 May 3, 2015 Declaration of AIPMT 2015 Results By June 5, 2015 AIPMT 2015 Exam Pattern: AIPMT exam have a total of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry Zoology and Botany subjects. The question paper carry of 720 marks. AIPMT Question Booklet is of four sets AIPMT Question Paper is set in both English and Hindi Language. Questions are based on syllabus as prescribed by the exam conducting authority CBSE. The questions are framed from high school and intermediate (1st and 2nd year) syllabus.
