Who can issue a valid caste certificate for GATE entrance examination ??

To get benefits of reservation in GATE examination you have to produce caste certificate obtained from the following authorities or government officers below ,,..

District Magistrate/
Additional District Magistrate/
Collector/ Deputy Collector/
Deputy Commissioner/
Additional Deputy Commissioner/
1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/
City Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/
Taluk Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate/
Extra Assistant Commissioner.

Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate

Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the Candidate and/or her/his family normally resides

Minimum GATE score for qualifying (Subjected to change accordingly)
General: 25
OBC: 20
SC/ST/Physicall Handicapped: 18

Application fees for GATE exam:
General/OBC/ND: Rs.1200
SC/ST/Physically Handicapped: Rs.600
No application fees for female candidates
