A Tahsildar being a government official holds all responsibilities related to revenue side of a Mandal having fixed number of villages under its geographical area. A Tahsildar will be treated as a Gazetted officer and has the power to issue various certificates like caste, income and nativity of all individuals residing in villages of the Mandal. Thasildar details: To become a Tasildar, one must obtain a good score in the public service commission exam (TNPCS EXAM) equivalent courses like engineering Eligibility : The educational qualification for the post of Tahsildar are Essential – A post graduate degree in any subject completed in a recognized university or its equivalent courses like engineering. Desirable - A degree in Law completed in goverment approved university. Age Limit : 18 to 38 years. Gender : Male and Female. Selection Procedure: Tamilnadu Public Service Commission will announce for the requirment of Tahsildar when the need arises. By applying for the TNPCS GROUP-2 examination with your details attached in the application you will be notified as a shortlisted candidate if your application is approved. The date and the center to write the exam will announced. Exam pattern: The written exam consists of two paper. Paper - 1: 150 questions containing General english, science, mathematics and reasoning questions paper- 2 : 150 questions containing about Indian constitution, politics, history of India and current affairs. The duration of exam is two hours.
