Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the common entrance examination for admission to law universities. It is a single level test and selection is based on rank-preference criteria of the candidates.

Eligibility

Under-Graduate Programmes --

-Must have passed 10+2 Examination or equivalent with minimum 45% marks for General and 40% marks for SC/ST and Persons with Disability
-Age should not more than 20 years in case of General Candidates and 22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with disability as on 1st July of the year of examination

Post-graduate Programme
To be eligible for appearing in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to the two year LL.M. Degree Course you should have passed the LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST and persons with Disability)

Tentative dates
Publication of advertisement 1st week of January
Issue of application forms 2nd week of January
Last date for submission of application forms 1st week of April
Issue of Hall Tickets 2nd week of April
Date of admission test for UG/PG 2nd week of May
Publication of result Last week of May
Completion of admission process Last week of June
Commencement of classes 1st week of July
