GATE needed for ISM MTech?

Is GATE Score required to apply for admission in MTech at Indian School of Mines (ISM)??

Indian School of Mines (ISM) was established in 1926 and got the status of Deemed University under the UGC Act in 1967.

GATE is required to apply for MTech at Indian School of Mines (ISM) but if you have passed an IIT B.Tech. Degrees with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above then you will be exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification.

ISM Dhanbad M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:
- You must have passed their B. E. / B. Tech or Masters as specified with a minimum of 55% or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10 (50% or CGPA of 5 for SC/ST)
- You should have passed an IIT B.Tech. Degrees with a CGPA/CPI of 8.00 and above are exempted from the requirement of GATE qualification.
- You must meet the medical fitness criteria as specified
- Age Limit must be below 30 years by April 8, 2014 (Relaxation by 5 years for female /SC/ST candidate
