University of Delhi, Central Institute of Education generally offers admission in M.Ed (Bachelor of Education) (both one-year full-time and two-year part-time), through DU M. Ed Entrance Test, which is conducted every year by Department of Education, Delhi University.

Eligibility for DU M Ed Entrance Test
You should have passed M.A./M.Sc./M.Com examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum 50% in aggregate, and B. Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 55% or more marks in aggregate.
OR
You are required to pass B.A./B.Sc./B.Com examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate and B. Ed examination of Delhi University or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum 60% or more marks in the aggregate.
OR
You must hold B.A. /B.Sc. /B. Com degree from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with not less than 50% aggregate marks and B. Ed. Examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with minimum 55% or more marks in the aggregate, are eligible. You should have two years of teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.
OR
If you have passed B. El. Ed examination from the University of Delhi or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 60% or more marks in the liberal component and minimum 60% marks in the professional component of the said programme, are eligible.
OR
Candidates, with a pass in B. El. Ed examination from any recognized university as equivalent thereto with minimum 50% marks in the liberal component and 55% or more marks in the professional component of the said programme with two years of teaching experience in a recognized educational institution, are eligible.

Examination Pattern for DU M Ed Entrance Test
-DU M. Ed Entrance Test, one among the highly competitive and toughest entrance examinations of the field of teacher education
- One can be attempted in Hindi or English.
-However, the medium of instruction in the M. Ed Programme will dominantly be English.
-The written examination is of two hours duration.
-The entrance will test the candidates’ understanding of educational theory, research aptitude and analytical and reflective abilities related to the contemporary Indian education discourse.
-DU M. Ed Entrance Test comprises of short answer questions, which in total fetch 75 marks.

Programme Structure

The Master of Education programme is offered as a full time and a part time programme.
Full-time - Duration: One academic year
Part-time - Duration: Two academic years which are divided in two parts.
Part I : Papers 1, 2 & 3
Part II : Papers 4 & 5 and Long Essay/Dissertation.

Courses of Study

(a) Compulsory Courses
Paper 1. Philosophical and Sociological Perspectives on Education
Paper 2. Advanced Educational Psychology
Paper 3. Techniques of Research in Education and Educational Statistics

(b) Optional Courses
Paper 4 & 5: Any two of the optional papers may be offered by the students.

Dissertation/Long Essay
The Dissertation/Long essay is a compulsory component of the M.Ed. Programme.

The Master of Education Program is a full time program for duration of two academic years.

Eligibility;
Applicants should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs:
