Indian Institute of Technology Madras was established in the year 1959. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

NRI undergraduate admission details:
For undergraduate studies at IITs i.e. B.Tech. and Dual Degree foreign students have to appear Paper-1 of JEE (Main) conducted by CBSE. Only top 1,50,000 candidates (who qualify in Paper-1 of JEE (Main)-2014 will be eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced)-2014. Admission to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced)-2013,

Documents required:
Application, along with the processing fee, on prescribed format
They should hold a valid foreign passport.
they have adequate knowledge of English as per the requirements of the programme.
