Applicants should be 12th passed in any reputed board in Science with Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics with 65% marks in total. For SC/ST/PWD/Sports category it is 48% & for PWD applicants 40% is needed.

Admission: Jadavpur University colleges are purely competitive. Admission in undergraduate engineering courses based on the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and admission in post graduate engineering courses based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Here, I am giving you details of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).

Eligibility:

Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Candidate must be 17 years old, as on 31 December 2015.
Candidate must have passed 10+2 form a recognized institution with English, Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects as optional subjects with at least 45% marks in qualifying exam (criteria for ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC is 40%) and should have scored at least 30% marks in English.

WBJEE 2015 Exam Pattern: The Exam contains following sections.

Paper 1- Mathematics/ Biology
Paper 2- Physics-Chemistry

Mathematics Paper will be of 2 hours and students will have to solve 80 questions, of 100 marks in all.
Physics-Chemistry Paper will be of 2 hours and will 80 questions of 100 marks in all (40 questions each from physics and chemistry).

WBJEE 2015 Exam Schedule

18.04.2015 (Saturday) : Biological Sciences (150 marks) 1.00 p.m. To 4.00 p.m.

19.04.2015 (Sunday)

Mathematics (100 marks) 12 noon to 2.00 p.m.
Physics-Chemistry (100marks) 3.00 p.m. To 5.00 p.m.
