Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi offers admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme. The B.Ed Programme offered by IGNOU is an innovative programme which is recognized by all member Universities of Association of India Universities (AIU)

Course:
B.Ed

Duration:
2 years
Maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be 4 years

Medium of Instruction:
English and Hindi

Eligibility:
-Must have bachelor’s degree or a higher degree from a recognized university
-Graduation or Post-Graduation Degree with minimum 50% marks, provided that the requirement of 50% marks shall not apply to persons appointed as teachers prior to the commencement of the National Council for Teacher Education
-Two years’ full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school with registration number recognised by the respective Directorate of Education or Central or State Government or Union Territory
- Masters’ Degree awarded without a first degree is not accepted for purpose of Academic Studies in IGNOU

IGNOU B.Ed. Admission Process:
-Admission shall be done Regional Centre-wise on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India
-The original documents are to be submitted later after receiving offer letter for admission from the Regional Centre after the entrance test

Application fee:
Rs. 1000/- at counter
Rs. 1050/- by post

Important Dates:
Last date to submit filled-in application form to the concerned Regional Centre: Mid of July
Date of Entrance test on: Mid of Aug

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Program of IGNOU aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage

Duration:

The minimum duration of the Program is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the Program will be five years

Fee structure for IGNOU BEd Entrance Test January 2016:

Rs 20,000/- for the entire programme in lump sum in the first year

Important Dates for IGNOU BEd Entrance Test January 2016:
