Career in Defence after B.Tech

What are the Career options available in defense after b.tech. WHich branch in btech to prefer to join defense later???

After completing B.tech , you can join in defense, To join in defense you have to appear in exams like-

CDSE (Combined defense service exam)
UES (University entry scheme)

Eligibility for CDSE (Combined defense service exam):
For Indian Military Academy:-
The candidate must have completed the graduation in any trade. The age should be in between 19-24 years.

For Naval Academy:-
The candidate must have completed the graduation in engineering field. The age should be in between 19-22 years.

For Air force:-
The candidate must have completed the graduation in any trade, but must have maths and physics in 12th. The age should be in between 19-23 years.

Eligibility for UES:
The candidate must have completed the graduation in engineering field with 60% aggregate. The age should be in between 18-28 years.

Any branch of engineering students can join Indian defenence. so branch is does not matter..

Yes you can join Defence after doing B.Tech. You can become officer in any armed force of India.

CDS- Combined Defence Service
AFCAT- Air Force Common Admission Test

CDS-there is some academy for this.

Naval Academy
Officers training Academy
Indian Military Academy

Minimum Requirements to join Air Force through CDS are:-

1:-age limit

Indian Military Academy-19-24 years
Air Force Academy-19-23 years
Naval Academy-19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy=19-25 years

2. Must have completed Graduation with physics and Maths.

3:- Must be Unmarried.

CDS Examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year as CDSI & CDSII.

Hello, here I am providing the details regarding the joining of defence after the completion of B.Tech course as under:

Defence fields:
Air Force Academy
Naval Academy
Officers training Academy
Indian Military Academy
Candidates may join any of the academies after the completion of B.Tech or graduation.

Minimum and maximum age to join the army:
Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-23 years
Naval Academy 19-22 years

How to join:
Candidates need to give the CDS examination conducted by the UPSC twice in every year.

Ordinance factory
Armed forces companies
These are the defence companies which recruit the b.tech candidates and are governed by the central govt. and the ministry of defence.
