Can you tell me about the WBSEDCL written exam in detail as I want to apply for it?

WBSEDCL has become important exams for candidates of West Bengal aspiring for State Government job. The exam is conducted for recruitment of Office executives and Junior Executive.

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Interview.

WBSEDCL Junior Executive (Finance) Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2015 :-

WBSEDCL conducts exam in both Descriptive test and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) :

General Awareness : 10 Marks
Reasoning : 10 Marks
Numerical Aptitude : 10 Marks
General English : 10 Marks
Domain Knowledge : 80 Marks

Duration of Exam is: 120 minutes

Descriptive Test :

Descriptive test (Essay Writing) : 30 Marks
Duration of Exam is : 30 minutes
Cut-off marks :

35% for UR / OBC(A) / OBC(B)
30% for SC 25% for ST
30% for PH.

For Computer Proficiency Test :

Type of questions are computer based and the questions will be asked from the topics of MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point.

The duration of this exam is 60 minutes.

Cut off marks are

30% for UR/ OBC(A)/ OBC(B)
25% FOR SC
20% FOR ST
25% FOR PH

Viva voice for Jr. Executive posts will be held for 50 marks.

WBSEDCL Office Executive Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2015 :-

For Written Test : WBSEDCL conducts exam for Jr.Execuitve posts in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) only, no descriptive test is conducted.

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) : 120 Marks

General Awareness : 20 Marks
Reasoning : 20 Marks
Numerical Aptitude : 20 Marks
English Language : 20 Marks
Data Analysis,Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency : 20 Marks
Computer Awareness (MS Office ) : 20 Marks

Duration of Exam is : 120 minutes

Cut-off marks :
35% for UR / OBC(A) / OBC(B)
30% for SC
25% for ST
30% for PH

Every year WBSEDCL organize entrance examination for recruitment of Assistant engineers and sub assistant engineers. The recruitment process consists of two stages. The first stage is written test. Candidates successful in written test appear for interview.

WBSEDCL question paper Descriptive questions

The descriptive question paper is given to candidates once they have finished answering the objective part. It is of 20 marks.
In descriptive paper you will have to write essays on topics given in the paper.
The essay topics may not be related to your trade (electrical, civil, IT or any other).
