Yes off course the applicant who got 50% Marks in B.Com from Hindi Medium participate in RAS exam.

Education Qualification:

The Candidates who possess a Bachelors Degree obtained from recognised institution are eligible to appear for this exam.

The Students who written their final degree exams and waiting for results can also apply for the RAS exam.

While appearing for the Main Exam they have to be qualified with a degree.

Age Limit:

RPSC restricted the upper age limit to 35 years as on 1st January 2013.
But, reserved category applicants may get age relaxation as per the rules followed by the Government on reservations.

Selection Process:

RAS recruitment process comprises two written exam, the first is a Preliminary followed by that Main Exam will takes place.
Candidates who are qualifying in the Preliminary exam only allowed write for the main exam.

Optional papers are:


Agriculture,Geology,Agricultural Engineering,Home Science,Animal Husbandry & Veterinary science,

Indian History,Botany,Law,Chemistry,Mathematics,Civil

Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Commerce,Mining Engineering,Crop

Husbandry with Horticulture,Philosophy,Computer

Engineering,Physics,Computer Science,Political Science,Dairy Processing &

Technology,Psychology,Economics,Public Administration,Electrical

Engineering,Sociology,Electronics & Telecommunication

Engineering,Statistics,Geography,Zoology

Compulsory paper will have
General Knowledge & General Science

Yes, you can apply for the RAS exam after completing B.Com in Hindi Medium with 50% Marks. As per the education eligibility for the exam a candidate should be a graduate in any discipline, and you fulfill this criteria so you are eligible for the exam.

Eligibility criteria for the exam:

Qualification:Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age Limit:
For State Services :
21 years -35 years
For Subordinate Services :
25 years to 45 years

Age relaxation :




RAS Scheme of Examination: The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in two successive stages.
(i) Preliminary Examination (Objective type)
(ii) Main Examination (Descriptive type)
(iii) Personality and viva-voce Examination


Preliminary Examination:
The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on the subject specified below, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks. The examination is meant to serve as a screening test only.
The Standard of the paper will be that of a Bachelor’s Degree Level. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates. who are declared qualified for admission to Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.


Patter of Questions Paper (For Preliminary examination):
1. There will be 150 Questions in the Question Paper.
2. All questions will carry equal marks.
3. There will be Negative Marking – 1/3 part of mark(s) of each question will be deducted for each wrong answer. (A wrong answer means an incorrect answer or more than one answers for any question. Leaving all the relevant circles or bubbles of any question blank will not be considered as wrong answer.

Main Examination:

(a) The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination will be 15 times the total approximate number of vacancies (category wise) to be filled in the year in the various Services and posts but in the said range all those candidates who secure the same percentage of marks as may be fixed by the Commission for any lower will be admitted to the Main Examination.

(b) The written examination will consist of the following four papers which will be descriptive/ analytical.
A candidate must take all the papers listed below which will also consist of question paper of brief, medium long answer and descriptive type questions.
The standard of General Hindi and General English will be that of Sr. Secondary level. The time allowed for each paper shall be 3 hours.
