What is the eligibility required and options for Pilot training after 12th standard?

The basic eligibility criteria required for the commercial pilot training is mentioned below:

Eligibility:
10+2 with 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics

Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.

General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.

Age:
The minimum age required for this course is 17years.

Course Duration:
The duration of the course is 15-18 months.

Medical Standard:
The basic medical standard required for this exam that a candidate should be physically fit and not have any skin diseases.

Eligibility for a Commercial Pilot License

1. Aspirants must have the minimum academic qualification to enroll for an SPL is class X.

2. Candidates must have age of at least 16 years.

3. Candidates are required to go through a medical fitness test. This is not a major hurdle unless one has some serious ailment or handicap. Candidates also need good vision i.e 6/6.

4. A security clearance and a bank guarantee of Rs.10,000 is also necessary.

Preparing for the examination of SPL:

Generally, the test is of an objective-type and its aim is to judge the proficiency of the candidate in general awareness, reasoning power and analytical ability.

Private Pilot License (PPL)

Eligibility for a Private Pilot License

1. . . . Aspirants must have attained the age of at least 17 years.

2. . Aspirants must have cleared intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

3. Candidates have to clear a medical fitness test, even if they had cleared it at the time of acquiring SPL.
