CAT and MAT both are entrance exams for admission in Management courses offer by reputed colleges situated in India..

Here I am giving you details for number of attempts to participate in CAT and MAT examination..

There is no fixed limit for number of attempts to participate in CAT and MAT exams.

The eligibility for CAT and MAT is:
You have to pass graduation in any stream from any well recognized university and candidates in the final year of the graduation can apply.

CAT is Common Admission Test and MAT is Management Aptitude Test. There is no Restriction on Number of attempts. You may give these exams infinite number of times.

Common Admission Test (CAT):
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. This test is based on subjects like quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning.

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs.

Type: Computer-based standardized test.
Year started: 2007
Duration of test: 2 hours and 50 minutes

Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with at least 50 % marks or equivalent GPA (45 % in case of SC, ST, PWD candidates). Final year undergraduate students also eligible

Fee:
1600 for general category candidates
800 for test takers in the SC / ST / DA (PWD) categories


Management Aptitude Test (MAT):
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. All B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score for admission.

Type: Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test.

Registration Fee: Rs.1, 200/-

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduates in any discipline
Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply
