Diplomat of National Board (DNB) is the title awarded by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), an autonomous academic body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to candidates who successfully complete their postgraduate or postdoctoral medical education under it.

Diplomat National Board (DNB) conducts DNB CET Exam for admission in post graduate courses under the National Board of Examination.

DNB CET 2013 Exam Dates:
Here I am providing you the exam dates for the session 2013 and this can be tentative for next session too:

Date of Online applications 08th July 2013 to 04th August 2013
Date of Exam 19th to 26th August 2013

Qualification:
Applicants who want to apply against DNB CET Exam they must have MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate from Indian Medical Council Act. And who have permanent / provisional registration certificate of MBBS and have completed one year of internship are eligible for this exam.

Examination Fee:
Applicants are requested to pay Rs. 4250/- in the form of Examination Fee Voucher and Information Bulletin Voucher from the selected branches of Axis Bank.

Can you tell me the date of exam of Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB CET) conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) as I will be giving the exam this year?

National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB CET) 2 times in a year for admission to various Post Graduate courses including Direct 6 year’s course in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.

Last time the DNB CET exam was conducted on 1st -4th July, 2015.

DNB CET Exam Pattern:

DNB CET exam is a computer based test as per the syllabus prescribed by Graduate Medical Education Regulations with approval from Medical Council of India.

• DNB CET entrance exam is held online on scheduled date in two sessions (forenoon or afternoon)

• DNB CET exam have 200 Multiple Choices Questions (MCQ), with single correct response

• The exam is conducted in English language

• The weightage of MCQ’s in each specialty differ and exam authority, NBE has right to revise the marks of the question

• Negative marking: There is no negative marking in DNB CET

DNB CET Selection Procedure:

Candidates are selected for Diplomate of National Board qualification in various disciplines and specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric, Surgery etc. exclusively on the basis of rank in the DNB CET score.

The DNB CET merit list is prepared only for those candidates who score the qualifying marks in the entrance test.

Allotment of 50% All India quota seats are done through centralized DNB CET online counselling.
