Can I appear GATE after distance mode MCA from Sikkim Manipal University???

As per as my knowledge you can not appear GATE after distance mode MCA from Sikkim Manipal University, because the basic eligibility criteria for GATE are as given below:

GATE eligibility:
The applicant must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) in regular mode and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes, And Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistic /Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes can apply for the GATE.

You should go for the phd program, or some other courses…………………….

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and postgraduate level subjects in Science.

GATE Exam Eligibility

Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture

Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent

Final year students of Bachelor degree or Master degree can also apply.

GATE Exam Syllabus

Gate 2015 syllabus consists of:

General Aptitude (GA) component common in all papers
Verbal Ability: English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning.

Engineering:- Question will be from the relevant subject of the trade.

GATE Exam Pattern

GATE question paper for all the subjects will contain 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions will be of General Aptitude (GA) section carry 15 marks.

GATE Exam Dates

This exam is normally held in February month of every year.

GATE Exam Fee

Examination fee of the exam as is Rs.1000 for general and Rs.500 for SC/ST/PD candidates.
