The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is the common written exam for Flying, Technical and Ground Duty branches of IAF. It is conducted by Indian Air Force. Pattern Time - 2 Hours Questions - 100 Correct Answer - (+)3 Marks Wrong Answer - (-)1 Mark AFCAT exam consists of 100 questions. The time duration is 2 Hours. Each question is of 3 marks that means for every correct answer candidate gets three marks and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted under negative marking scheme. Indian Air Force conducts AFCAT written examination for Technical Branch/ General Duty and Flying Branch. The Air Force Common Admission Test will be based on a 100 marks paper containing questions on the following main sections: 1. General Awareness 2. Verbal Ability 3. Numerical Ability 4. Reasoning 5. Aptitude Test There will be Multiply Choice Based Questions of 3 marks each. The candidates will be penalized in the form of deduction of 1 marks for every wrong answers attempted by them. Syllabus; a) General Awareness: History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Sciences, Defense, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc. b) Verbal Ability in English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Testing of Vocabulary etc. c) Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion, and Simple Interest d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
