How to become an income tax officer

I want to get information to about the examination to become an Income Tax Officer. So can you provide the information about the following examination?

The Examination to become an Income Tax Officer is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission every year.

The Candidates who want to become Income Tax Officer, they must have to appear and passed in the following examination.

Here I am providing information about the Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:
The age of candidates must be between 18 to 27 years.

Age Relaxation:
SC/ST Candidates: 5 Year
OBC Candidates: 3 Year
PWD Candidates: 10 Year

Educational:
The Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree from any recognized University in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.

Income Tax Officer deals with the income tax related matters of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), a department of central government in India. It is the responsibility of the ITO’s to hunt for those defaulters and bring them to the notice of the department.

To become an Income Tax Officer in India the candidates have to undergo a selection process of written and oral exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility to be an Income Tax Officer

Educational Qualification:
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree of any stream.

Age Limit:
Candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination and must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.

Age Relaxation:
Upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


Procedure to become an Income Tax Officer:

Aspirant has to procure the “Application Form” along with required information from the employment newspaper generally published in the month of April and sent the filled Application form to the regional centers.
