This is the Union Public service commission OTA (Officers Training Academy) eligibility: Officers Training Academy For OTA SSC course Men – Male candidates (Married / unmarried) born between 2nd January 1990 to 1st January 1996 For OTA (SSC Women Non-technical course) – Unmarried women and issueless widow born between 2nd January 1990 to 1st January 1996 Qualification All other men candidates as well as women candidates applying for Officers training academy should have a degree to qualify for minimum educational qualification required by UPSC to fill application form of CDS 1 2014.

CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC. Here I am giving you details about required eligibility criteria for OTA and others of CDS Exam. Eligibility Criteria: Male candidates can apply for IMA, AFA, NA and OTA and female candidates can apply only for OTA. Education Qualification: For AFA: Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level along with a degree from recognized university or bachelor degree in engineering /technology. For IMA: Aspirants should have a degree from recognized university. For NA: Aspirants should have engineering degree from any recognized university or institute For OTA: Candidates should have a degree to qualify for minimum educational qualification required by UPSC. Age Limit: For IMA: Unmarried male candidates, born between 2nd January 1991 and 1st January 1996 For INA: Unmarried male candidates, born between 2nd January 1991 and 1st January 1996 For AFA: Unmarried male candidates, born between 2nd January 1992 and 1st January 1996 For OTA: SSC course Men – Male candidates (Married / unmarried) born between 2nd January 1990 to 1st January 1996 For OTA (SSC Women Non-technical course): Unmarried women and issueless widow born between 2nd January 1990 and 1st January 1996 Syllabus of CDS Exam: English: Antonyms, synonyms, sentence correction, questions on unseen paragraphs, error detection questions etc. General Knowledge: Polity, Geography, History, Science, Economy etc Mathematics Arithmetic: Number System: Natural numbers, Integers, Rational and Real numbers. Fundamental operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, Square roots, Decimal fractions. Unitary method-time and distance, time and work, percentages, applications to simple and compound interest, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, variation. Elementary Number Theory-Division algorithm. Prime and composite numbers. Algebra: Basic Operations, simple factors, Remainder Theorem, H.C.F., L.C.M. Theory of polynomials, solutions of quadratic equations, relation between its roots and coefficients (Only real roots to be considered ). Simultaneous linear equations in two unknowns-analytical and graphical solutions. Simultaneous linear in-equations in two variables and their solutions. Trigonometry: Sine x, cosine x, Tangent x when 0° ≤ x ≤ 90° Values of sin x, cos x and tan x, for x = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°. Geometry: Lines and angles, Plane and plane figures, Theorems on Properties of angles at a point, Parallel lines, Sides and angles of a triangle, Congruency of triangles, Similar triangles, Concurrence of medians and altitudes, Properties of angles, sides and diagonals of a parallelogram, rectangle and square, Mensuration: Areas of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, triangle and circle. Areas of figures which can be split up into these figures (Field Book), Surface area and volume of cuboids, lateral surface and volume of right circular cones and cylinders, surface area and volume of spheres. Statistics: Collection and tabulation of statistical data, Graphical representation frequency polygons, histograms, bar charts, pie charts etc.
