Default Tips to prepare for joining AFMC

I am interested in giving entrance exam of Armed Forces Medical College. Can you suggests some tips for the preparation?

Armed Forces Medical College conducts its own entrance exam for admission to MBBS course. Armed Forces Medical College is a medical institute of India which provides training to under-graduate and post-graduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the defense services.

Important tips for AFMC Aspirants:
• You need to practice a whole lot of solved papers that are available online and you can also buy solved papers from the market as well.
• During the exam you need to solve the easy questions first so that you can find time to solve hard question later.
• Try to keep your cool and keep a watch on the time.
• If you are stuck up with a question, then leave the question and move on to the next one. But later, make sure that you are giving attempt to all the left out questions.
• Try concentrating on the logics of concepts, rather memorizing the formulas and procedures. Develop your own methodologies to solve a problem.

Exam pattern:

1. AFMC-MBBS entrance is a single test followed by an interview.
2. Subjects covered are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Intelligence, Logic & Reasoning and English Language comprehension.
3. The question paper consists of 200 objective questions:
4. All questions are of equal marks.
5. There is also negative marking for wrong answer.
6. Successful candidates in the written test are called for the interview conducted by AFMC itself.

Default doubts

Only one month is left to prepare for the medical entrances , and I have not even started with the class eleven syllabus and class twelve is still to be revised . Could you suggest some ways as to how I could study effectively and cover the syllabus ,and should I read all the ncert books now ,or should I just go for the books which has solved question papers of last years , which one would be effective?
