AICTE approved courses Lovely Professional University

I was going to apply for MBA at Lovely Professional University but some one told me that its courses are not approved by AICTE. Is it true? Please give me the exact information about it so that I can decide should I apply for the program or not.

Dear AICTE approval is required to institutes not for Universities as per ordered by supreme court on 24-09-2001

but you are not eligible for most of the government jobs if you study from lpu i am suffering. ... please don't join it

Dear AICTE approval is not required to Universities. As you are planning to do MBA, AICTE approval is required only for technical course.

well i want go for MCA with LPU but someone told me that LPU has not value for MNC job.

Lovely Professional University is recognized by University Grants Commission(UGC)and it is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is also recognized by DEC (Distance Education Council)..
According to my knowledge it is not approved by all India council of technical education .. As per law Universities don't require approval from AICTE to run its courses.
